I quite enjoy standing on the capital ship bridge with this mod. This is getting more important now that the universe is becoming more dangerous. Trade and mining ships also need to flee from combat as soon as they are attacked by performing an emergency jump or boosting. ![]() It's similar to the jump drive the capital ships use however: You can target jump beacons OR jump gates. A quest will guide you through the steps but it will take quite some time to get all the jump coolant and rare engine parts. The jump drive is a much bigger deal, and much harder to get. Is this some sort of sick joke What am I missing here I have slaughtered Xenon and Pirates by the score. You can now give trade orders to ships outside your squad. OK, so in 60 hours of play Ive managed to get a whopping 4 units. This is already happening to some extent. With luck, we might be on the precipice of being able to issue orders to non-squad ships. For now I think we need to try and think of Squads being only for combat and temp non-combat orders rather than trade as it was in the begining. Yeah, hopefully TRADE and MINE ships will begin to ignore Squad Attack orders in the future. Sorry for going off topic a bit there, just felt a bit ranty! It would be nice if you could give orders to ships not in your squad, or at least mark trade ships as "none combatants" so they wouldn't follow this order. Also, if you have any trade ships in your squad it cancels their trade and they set a course to engage the target as well. The "attack object" command which you double click and enemy ship is a step in the right direction, but you should be able to do it from the map. Something that would give you simple, quick commands for multiple ships at the same time. What would be just perfect now would be for someone to mod in(or for ego to add) some sort of fleet command software to go along with the bridge. I know that's probably asking a lot since there isn't really a sitting down mechanic in the game, but you never know. This mod would definitely be a candidate for this! Also, I think a nice little touch would be if he could add some way to sit down in the chair next to the captain. I honestly think ego should start taking really good community mods and patching them into the game, like they have done in the past(I think?). Hats off to the modder, it really helps with the immersion. I really like this mod, it's very well done. ![]()
